“Having now sent all three of our children to The Minors Nursery (both boy and girl) I can safely say that it has become a home away from home. Viv and her team make the transition to starting school such a gentle, warm and nurturing one that very soon these teachers are seen as extended family. The only time I have ever had tears was during the holidays – because my girls MISSED their school (100% truth)! Communication with parents is extremely impressive, ranging from newsletters to a weekly “stay and play” and with the door always wide open to pop in for a chat. Parents’ concerns are never ignored, never belittled; always taken seriously and addressed immediately with the utmost professional and sensitive balance of care. The children are so, so happy at Minors and there is a joyful calmness that exudes from the school at the very knock of that green front door. We have had two children pass through Minors and are now on our third! We are huge fans of the approach that Viv and the team at Minors take to the children’s care and education. They make the children’s experience fun, varied and educational and the pastoral care is excellent. Our older children both look fondly back to their time at Minors and our youngest is already making herself very much at home there! It’s a terrific nursery and we would recommend it to anyone.

Minors is such a special place and my children continue to thrive here. It is incredibly nurturing whilst keeping a firm eye on educational goals, and yet all the children feel is the fun, especially on ‘choosing’ day! Mrs Thompson and the teachers are always so kind and are very welcoming in the classroom. One of our highlights is the Big Stars end of year show – we have been bowled over by the performance, the sets, the costumes…truly magical for the children and parents!

We first joined The Minors Nursery in Sep 2010 with my first child Sonny.
Now in our 8th year I can say the nursery has gone from strength to strength. When you thought it couldn’t get any better it keeps evolving in all the best and latest learning techniques for children. Empathy, nurturing, trust and lots of fun are just a few of the wonderful things happening at The Minors Nursery School. Imagination and creativity, exploring and learning through hands on play. The staff are wonderful and so kind. The fact that most of them have been there as long as me says it all. It’s the best nursery in town by far! Thank you for all the years of looking after me and my children!!

My two older sons both attended Minors, and we did not hesitate to send our daughter there this term – in fact, we were delighted to be coming back.
